Cousins! G Herbo is currently facing the possibility of jail time after entering a plea deal within a federal fraud case where he is accused of scamming stolen credit cards and IDs for personal purchases of up to $1.5 million dollars!
According to reports from Complex, the 27-year-old and a series of his associates are accused of an ongoing wire scheme in Massachusetts. It has been stated that wire fraud carries out a maximum sentence of 20 years. However federal guidelines insist Herbo will possibly be sentenced anywhere between two to three years in prison.
Herbo and five associates were charged back in December 2020 confirms the outlet, for using identity theft to rack up a million dollars in charges for, “goods and services, including private jet trips, a personal chef, a vacation at a Jamaican villa,” and a pair of “designer puppies.”
The father of three is accused of lying to a federal agent back in 2018 about his connections to one of the associates identified as rap promoter Antonio Strong, noted as being the “alleged mastermind of the identity theft scheme.”
The newly entered plea agreement consists of texts between the two men as evidence, and states Herb will pay $140,000 worth of restitution to “a variety of alleged victims.”
Sources state that the rapper will appear in a plea hearing scheduled for July 27th before a U.S. district judge.
