Remy Ma may have dropped bars, but Papoose came back with paperwork! The rapper has reportedly hit his estranged wife with a cease and desist over her viral freestyle, “W.Y.F.L. (Why You F*cking Lying),” demanding that the track be cleared from the internet!

The freestyle has been making serious noise, with Remy taking shots at Papoose’s ghostwriting claims, bedroom skills and his relationship with boxer Claressa Shields. As we previously reported, Remy performed the track at Angie Martinez’s BBQ, giving the already viral diss another boost.

According to legal documents, Papoose’s attorney Shelley Albert sent a letter to Remy’s lawyer, Diane Bowman, on April 18 amid the former couple’s ongoing divorce battle. His team accused Remy of using “profane, insulting, and highly negative remarks” to publicly embarrass him and cited several lyrics from the track in the letter.

Papoose’s legal team also raised concerns about the impact of their public back and forth on their young daughter, especially as both sides have been working through potential non-disparagement terms. So while Remy chose the mic, Pap appears to have chosen the courtroom route.
