Cousins, Chloe Bailey is asking folks to break down their definition of the term “FLOPPING” for her!
As we previously reported the singer had responded with a new post and deleted tweet on Twitter (X) to a social media user who said her upcoming project is going to flop because of its role out.
“it’s finna flop bc she did this so randomly”
The singer replied,”oh well. good music is good music and i hope you enjoy”
On Tuesday evening Chloe asked for further clarification of what the term actually means. “What is flopping?”
“What even is that,” she asked.
“Because like—I don’t really understand that concept, anymore. I am alive, I’m breathing, I’m making money.”
“I mean really what is flopping. I’m creating great music that I love.”
The 26-year-old explained that she’s living her best life regardless of how folks feel.
Chloe has led a pretty impactful year with an epic performance at Coachella, Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival and also taking part in Usher’s lifetime achieventment tribute at the BET Awards. Amongst multiple other projects she’s set to star in an upcoming horror film alongside Michael Rainey Jr.
While teasing new music for the Summer, Chloe officially announced on Monday August 5th that her sophomore album ‘Trouble in Paradise’ drops on Friday August 9th. She previewed the track list on social media days before its release with features from fellow artists such as YG Marley, Ty Dolla $ign, and her sister Halle Bailey.
