Louisiana Teeen Faces 10 Years in Prison For Allegedly Hitting Disabled Teacher Within Viral TikTok Challenge!

It seems like a Louisiana student, is currently facing a felony charge along with ten years in prison for allegedly slapping a disabled teacher because of a TikTok challenge!

According to BET, Larrianna Jackson of Covington she was charged with a felony-second degree battery and cruelty to the infirmed. 

On October 6, 18-year-old Jackson was arrested by the Covington Police Department, for assaulting the 64-year-old teacher after the dismissal bell rang. The teacher had to seek medical attention due to the injuries she faced during the attack. To make matters worse, there is a video of the incident where you can see Jackson slapping and punching the teacher, knocking her to the floor.

WDSU reports, officers were provided with a video that showcased the whole moment. According to the police, the video showed the teacher sitting at her desk, where it appears she was talking to Jackson. Soon after, it shows Jackson allegedly punches the teacher, causing the teacher to fall as Jackson violently hits the teacher before the video ends. 

“The Covington Police Department would like to remind everyone that anyone who participates in such a challenge will be booked accordingly,” a statement issued by Covington Police reads, according to WDSU. In this post, we also attached the video that has been circulating around the internet. This matter is still under investigation and more arrests are forthcoming.”

This incident comes from the growing social media trend known as “slap your teacher,” which dares students to attack their teachers and post the video to TikTok. The company has moved very quickly to remove any videos associated with the trend from its platform. Since then, the company has released a statement based on the trend circulating the app, “The rumored ‘slap a teacher’ dare is an insult to educators everywhere,” it reads. “And while this is not a trend on TikTok, if at any point it shows up, content will be removed.”
