Lil Durk has officially been found NOT GUILTY in the federal case stemming from the alleged attempted murder of rival rapper Quando Rondo.

According to CNN as of Friday, September 11, a federal jury cleared Durk of charges linked to allegations of him helping orchestrate and fund a hit targeting Tyquian Bowman, better known as rapper Quando Rondo.

As previously reported, prosecutors argued that Durk helped organize the shooting as retaliation for the 2020 killing of his longtime friend and fellow rapper King Von at a club in Atlanta. The prosecution team alleges that in 2022, Durk paid a group of men to travel to Los Angeles and follow Rondo as well as a close group of friends to study their movements. The three men opened fire near the Beverly Center shopping mall on Rondo’s Escalade.

Ultimately, Rondo survived the shooting, and his cousin, Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson was murdered.

Durk’s legal team maintained that he was not responsible for the shooting and argued that his former assistant acted independently. After weeks of testimony and deliberations, the jury ultimately sided with the defense, delivering a complete acquittal for Durk.

“Today, the jury delivered justice to the family of Saviay’a Robinson, finding defendants Deandre Wilson and David Lindsey guilty of stalking resulting in Mr. Robinson’s death,” First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli said in a statement.

Lil Durk, born Durk Banks has been in police custody since his 2024 arrest. Over the last two years the support of social media users and public figures has been felt online as well as in real time with many pushing for Durk’s freedom.
