It looks like Zendaya has another category she can add to her plate. The singer, dancer, and Emmy-award-winning actress, will be named the Fashion Icon at the upcoming 2021 CFDA Fashion Awards. 

According to The New York Daily News, in an announcement, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) said the “Malcolm and Marie,” star’s iconic red carpet looks and her entrepreneurship within the industry, inspired them to recognize her for the honor.

“Without exception, the ‘Euphoria’ and ‘Dune’ star makes a style statement as soon as she steps out of her car,” the organization said in its announcement. “She has been a supporter of both emerging designers and established fashion houses.”

Her stylist Law Roach also received praises from the council and saluted his efforts. 

Zendaya will be the youngest recipient to receive the award, but she will be in great company. She joins the list of other honorees such as Beyonce, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Pharrell, Naomi Campbell, and Jenifer Lopez. 

The 2021 CFDA Fashion Awards will take place on November 10th at New York City’s Seagram Building. 

Congrats Zendaya! We absolutely can not wait to see what she will be wearing on the night of the award ceremony. Based on her previous attire, we know it’s going to be something very epic and stylish!
