Noir Nation, a NYC family is searching for answers following the tragic murder of 27 year old mother Lovay Williams, who police say was tragically killed at the hands of her partner!
According to ABC 7 News, Williams was found deceased inside her apartment Sunday afternoon. Police say her 7 year old daughter answered the door when officers arrived.
Williams’ father, Nuquan Williams, told investigators that his granddaughter witnessed the tragic incident. “She witnessed the whole murder, yes,” he said.
Nuquan Williams also described what investigators believe happened after his daughter was killed,“He tried to clean her up, he tried to put her in the bathtub. After he put her in the bathtub tried to clean the house down. Put her back into the bed. Put the covers over her trying to think about, you know, his getaway plan.”

Williams’ father said his granddaughter then remained beside her mother, unaware that she had died. “And my granddaughter just laid next to my daughter as my daughter was asleep because she don’t know her mother is dead.”
Police say Williams was found unconscious and unresponsive inside the apartment and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are treating the case as a domestic violence related homicide as the search for the person responsible continues.
Lovay’s family has also launched a GoFundMe campaign in efforts of raising relief to help support her young daughter.
“This GoFundMe is specifically for Delani. The purpose is to help provide her with stability, support, and the resources she will need as she begins this long journey of healing. Funds raised will help with her immediate and future needs, including counseling and trauma support, education, living expenses, and other necessities that will help give her a sense of security as her family works to rebuild her life around this heartbreaking loss.”
“We cannot take away what Delani witnessed. We cannot give her back the childhood that was interrupted by tragedy. But we can surround her with love. We can help protect her future. And we can remind her that she is not alone.“
