We're going to march to that voting booth in November like John Lewis marched across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma.

From the young age of 17, Lewis has always been at the forefront of the Civil Rights movement working towards freedom and equality.
To marches alongside #MartinLutherKingJr, becoming the chairman of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee to being named one of the Big Six leaders of the civil rights movement has lived his life fighting for change. Rep. John Lewis ethics and determination will forever ring throughout history.
Just think: John Lewis was months into his battle with cancer when this photograph was taken, this year on the bridge where he marched, bled and suffered for our voting rights. (The coronavirus was already spreading in the U.S.) This man risked his life until the very end. https://t.co/Q4f8WtMmPr

“We do not want our freedom gradually, but we want to be free now. We are tired. We are tired of being beaten by policemen. We are tired of seeing our people locked up in jail over and over again. And then you holler, `Be patient.’ How long can we be patient? We want our freedom and we want it now. We do not want to go to jail. But we will go to jail if this is the price we must pay for love, brotherhood, and true peace.” – John Lewis, 17
The word icon gets tossed around a little too willy-nilly at times. @RepJohnLewis was an icon. pic.twitter.com/J4Yw92crNH
