A Black resident’s body that was discovered dead hanging from a tree recently within Victorville is currently being investigated by San Bernardino County officials!

According to NBC News, Malcom Harsch, 38 body was discovered May 31st near a homeless shelter. Though it has been indicated that Harsch had recently received pushback from his family, they do not believe that he took his own life.

“He didn’t seem to be depressed to anyone who truly knew him,” Harsch’s family tells local news. “Everyone who knew our brother was shocked to hear that he allegedly hung himself and don’t believe it to be true. The explanation of suicide does not seem plausible.”

Reports read protests and memorials have been held on behalf of another Black male #RobertFuller, that was found dead this week, around 50 miles away in Palmade.

Residents and city leaders are now demanding justice for both these men lives while calling for action an independent investigation into their deaths.

Sources have confirmed that local officials are hinting at suicide in both cases but family and friends of the victims are fully against those claims.
