The super streaming service platform of #Netflix has officially announced the upcoming release of our forever FLOTUS Michelle Obama’s surprise documentary named after her award winning memoir, “Becoming”!

According to The Guardian, the documentary is set to follow Mrs Obama within her 34-city tour promoting her memoir. Sources have confirmed that the documentary will share an intimate, rare and in-depth look into her life, to be directed by Nadia Hallgren.

“It’s hard these days to feel grounded or hopeful, but I hope that like me, you’ll find joy and a bit of respite in what Nadia has made,” Mrs Obama says within a released statement. “Because she’s a rare talent, someone whose intelligence and compassion for others comes through in every frame she shoots. Most importantly, she understands the meaning of community, the power of community, and her work is magically able to depict it.”

Nadia has come forward to state that the documentary had it’s challenging moments but also allowed for her relationship with Mrs Obama to grow. “I intended on making a film about her current experience – where she is in this moment and the way she’s reflecting on the entirety of her life, not just her years in the White House.”

The “Becoming” documentary will be available on Netflix on May 6th.
