In the era of reboots and remakes Warner Bro’s couldn’t be more on time with their recent announcement of a prequel to the crime drama fan favorite film #TrainingDay!
Its been nearly 18 years since #DenzelWashington blazed the theater screens in his leather jacket and enormous chain swinging as he perfectly executed the role of an all around crooked police officer. According to #SourceMagazine screenwriter Nick Yarborough has teamed up with Warner Bro’s. to produce the next installment of the Academy award winning film.
Sources have indicated that the prequel will explore Washington’s life ten years prior to the initial film. The film’s theme will be set surrounding the early 90’s era and the controversial #RodneyKing police brutality case.
There’s hasn’t been any word as of yet if Washington will be involved in the prequel or an official release date.
