Cousins! Tyler Perry is issuing his concerns about a potential laboratory space under development in Atlanta that he believe to be hazardous and has been purposely placed within an all Black community!

According to TMZ; Tyler has made strides towards purchasing the former U.S military complex also known as the Forces Command building. The complex is currently in the works of becoming an FDA laboratory which has led the mult-media mogul to believe possible fumes may attack residents within the area’s health.

It has been stated that the designated building is right next to Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta where he is reportedly working towards expansion.

Tyler has previously offered to drop several million dollars to purchase the building complex, however back in 2019 Easterly Government Properties was approved to be sold for $17 million dollars. The proposal plan lists the FDA as the lease owner and that the development should be up and running in the next two years.

It has been stated that Tyler had put in his bid to purchase the complex first for the same $17 million but the sellers instead went with Easterly Government Properties.

Tyler is not giving up that easy as he has recently voiced that he is willing to pay a premium to purchase the building. “To allow someone to put a laboratory in the heart of this development with smokestacks is not okay with me. They would not do it in Buckhead, so why would they do it here? It feels like environmental racism.”

In response to Tyler’s issued statement an official FDA member says that the filmmaker’s concerns and description of the lab’s motive are inaccurate. They explain that the facility will actually be designed to clean emissions.
