Cousins! It’s looking real quiet for Euphoria fans these days following multiple reports of issues with production!
Variety caught up with the show’s leading lady Zendaya recently as she attended the ‘Challengers’ movie premiere this week. She was asked for the status of ‘Euphoria” return for their third season.
“If it’s right for the characters and everything turns out the way it should, of course.” said Zendaya.“But it’s beyond me,” she told Variety.
She also added that though she would love to speak on the fate of the beloved series, however she is “not in charge.”
As we previously reported, an announcement confirming production delays for season three of ‘Euphoria’ was issued on Monday, March 24th.
“HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season,” an HBO spokesperson told Variety . “In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities.”
Fellow Euphoria cast member Storm Reid also shared back in March that she is not surprised by the delay in production.
“I would hope the viewers, the audience will be able to finish the show,” she said.
“I think we should handle the show with care. We’ve put our hearts and soul into it.”
“I think Zendaya have so much appreciation of Euphoria after winning her Emmy’s that she will complete her role as Rue if they come back. Deep down I think half the cast has moved on to movie success,” wrote a Twitter (X) user.
