Cousins, actress Jude Demorest has had it with rumors on social media that the hit Fox series ‘STAR’ ended because she decided to have kids!
“You know I don’t ask for much, I really don’t think I do. But I am going to ask that you stop blaming this little girl and commenting ‘Great now that she’s born can we have season four?’ “said Jude in reference to her newborn baby girl.
“Or ‘great now that you’ve had all of your kids, can we have Star back’,” said Jude.
The mother of three explained on Tuesday, April 23rd in a story shared on her Instagram page, that the beloved scripted series ended due to a sale between networks.
“I just want to put this out there one good time. No baby didn’t stop no show,” said Jude.
“ The child that I had on star was Juda, the first one. I don’t know if y’all realized this, but I filmed while I was pregnant——after I was pregnant he came with me on set, we kept filming.”
“The show ended because of a sale between fox and Disney, that’s it.”
Jude also expressed that she never received a call for season four because if she did she and her little ones would’ve been on set kicking it.
“These babies didn’t stop no season four. Nobody called me—-everybody knows I would’ve shown up on that set pre-post, during, after partum, fifty-eleven kids trailing behind me to my trailer, the 32-year-old joked.
Jude recently welcomed a baby girl on April 6 of this year alongside her husband Joshua Coleman also known as Ammo. The two tied the knot in 2016 and share three children, Juda born in 2018, Jodi born in 2021 and Jubilee born in 2023.
As we previously reported, ‘Star’ came to an end in 2019 following three successful seasons on Fox. The series cancelation caught fans by surprise after delivering such a gut-wrenching finale lined with cliffhangers.
Following its cancellation, series creator Lee Daniels said that fans would be granted an official ending in a movie production for ‘Star’. However details of the film haven’t surfaced as of yet.
“We’re going to make something real special for you to scream about, with all of our cast members–even the dead ones.”
Though it’s been roughly five years since the series ended, fans demand for the show’s return has not let up.
Just recently backin March, Lee announced to fans on Instagram that he’s currently getting a writer’s room together. “It is being written. I appreciate everybody’s love!”
“It’s just taken me FOREVER cause I have other projects…It’s crazy, I had NO IDEA when I created this show the response would be like this. #grateful,” said Lee.
‘Star’ featured talented such as Jude Demorest, Brittany O’Grady, Ryan Destiny, Amiyah Scott, and Queen Latifah. The series also starred Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Benjamin Bratt, Evan Ross, William Levy, Brandy and more.
