Cousins, Bambi, and Scrappy‘s marriage may be done and over with but the stories surrounding their previous union just keep on rolling in!
Within a recent interview with Carlos King a part of his ‘Reality With King’ podcast, Bam shared the former couple’s origin story and how long they were connected before the cameras of Love And Hip Hop came about.
Bambi says that she and her now ex-husband were “messing around” with one another before the first season of LHH: Atlanta.
However, viewers saw Scrappy in a committed relationship with his daughter Emani’s mother Erica Dixon on the show.
Though the beginning seasons portrayed them working to co-parent and later getting engaged at the 2011 Love and Hip Hop Reunion; Erica and Scrappy later split in 2014 due to personal indifferences.
Scrappy later proposed to Bambi in the reality series fifth season.
Amid their drama, Erica often referred to Bambi as a side chick and a home wrecker, which the Compton, California native has often denied.
Fast forward to today, Bambi recalls Scrappy telling her that he was only portraying the role of actually being with Erica while on the show as a way to help her earn money. She claimed that he would call her during or after the shooting and invited her on set.
The fun didn’t stop there though as Bambi revealed that while she was dealing with Scrappy, she was also dating LHH cast member Benzino.
Bambi told Carlos that the two were intimate during that time even while he was engaged to Erica and that he had introduced her to Mona Scott Young for her to come on the show as an official cast member.
The former couple share three children together and were married for six years.
