Cousins!

Tyler Perry has had enough of people coming for him and his production wigs!

In a BET special titled The Tyler Perry Show: Sistas After Show Edition, Perry blasts mean tweets on regards to successful his drama Sistas.

In case you have been living in a cave, the drama Sista follows five successful black women in Atlanta who are friends. These women are not only beautiful, but they also share bumpy love lives. Now being, Black women, you know they rock many different hairstyles such as twists, braids, wigs and straightened hair. Some hairstyles are pretty decent, but there are others where no explanation is needed.

While responding to critics, Tyler makes it very adamant that he knows absolutely nothing about hair. While annoyed, Perry says, “I want all of y’all to stop talking about hair to me, please. I swear to you, these are the things I can do: I can run a company, I can build a house, I can go on stage. I do all of this stuff. I know what I do. I don’t know how to do hair. I don’t know nothing about it.” At least he’s honest.

Furthermore, the director continues to say that he pays professional hairstylists to care about the styling on Sistas and his other productions. “I hire people to do hair. Pay them $65 an hour,” he said. “You heard that right. $65 an hour. They work 10 to 12 hours a day to make sure the hair is right. That’s their job, so I’m paying them to do their job and they’re doing that. They’re doing a great job. Sometimes, things slip because I move a little fast, but they get it done.”

And if you thought he was letting up, guess again cause he had one last thing to say. With a chuckle, his final response on the mean tweets was, “Stop asking me about some damn hair, go talk to somebody that’s got a hot curler. Like I’m walking around with a damn hot curler.”

Overall, he makes a point. It is not his job or responsibility to make sure the lace is intact. But we wonder if he’s hiring because that $65 an hour sounds like an opportunity I should not miss.
