African American Museum Founder Sadie Roberts-Joseph Found Dead In Trunk Of Car!

#Family please join us at this time to send our deepest prayers and most sincere condolences to the family of the beloved #SadieRobertsJoseph . Sadie known as the founder of the African American Museum located in #BatonRouge , #Louisiana .was recently discovered dead within the trunk of a car.

According to #ComplexMagazine Sadie,75 body was found Friday afternoon. Sources have indicated that though there have been no forwarded details at this time, Baton Rouge police officials are currently investigating to find Sadie’s killer.

“Ms. Sadie was a tireless advocate of peace,”states the Baton Rouge Police Department within a Facebook post. “ Ms. Sadie is a treasure to our community, she will be missed by BRPD and her loss will be felt in the community she served…Our detectives are working diligently to bring the person or persons responsible for this heinous act to justice.” 

Sadie’s death has been identified as a major loss for the Baton Rouge community.

“She was what was right about Baton Rouge and the magnitude of her loss to our whole community is a testament to that,” they said in a statement. “While her death is a tragedy, it would be an even greater injustice to let her death overshadow her tremendous life that left behind a legacy of activism and black pride that endeared her to the Baton Rouge community,” states community organization group members of Together Baton Rouge.
