Actor and comedian Dave Chapelle was not here for his highly celebrated, early 2000s series ‘ The Chapelle Show’ recent cross over to Netflix and he made sure the world felt where he was coming from within disapproval!

On Tuesday evening within a standup segment titled ‘ Unforgiven ,’ Chapelle spoke directly to an audience full of his fans as he explained the conversation he had with Netflix representatives and their choice to stream the ‘Chapelle show.’

Chapelle highlighted the fact that he doesn’t obtain any sort of rights or revenue rights over the show.

He speaks about how the show is owned by Comedy Central under the Viacom umbrella so they have legal rights to do whatever they want with the series solely because Chapelle signed a contract years ago.

Chapelle speaks further into how he wasn’t ever paid a dime from the licensing deals and was worked like a slave after being bought and sold.

Following Chapelle’s long-standing relationship with the super streaming platform of Netflix the show was pulled completely at his request.

According to TMZ the ‘Chapelle show’ is still currently available for streaming on HBO Max.
