Cousins! The season finale of Lena Waithe‘s hit original series The Chi left fans on the edge of their seats with a long list of surprises, not to mention a very familiar face popping up on our TV screens 👀
Actor and singer Rotimi made his Chi-town debut in the series season finale with the portrayal of his character Charles. Rotimi plays the role of a churchgoer with a connected past to super flashy, money-driven Pastor Ezekiel played by Daniel J Watts.
“I give God the glory to get the chance to work with an all-star cast and to bring to life the vision of the brilliant Lena Waithe! It’s time to work,”’ says Rotimi to Blex Media in an exclusive interview.
As the series welcomes newcomers, fans have also been forced to bid farewell to three key players.
In episode sixteen the show’s main antagonist, Otis “Douda” Perry played by actor Curtiss Cook, and Iman Shumpert’s Rob undergoes tragic deaths. Actress Tyla Abercrumbie’s role of Nina comes Jul to a halt as she leaves town with her girlfriend LaPorsha played by Da Brat.
