Though the cause of his passing hasn’t been confirmed at this time, Freddie is said to have been hospitalized in 2024 for Kidney disease, reports ABC News.

“This journey has had its challenges but I’ve decided to face it with openness and resilience,” said Freddie in a clip posted to Instagram. “It’s important to me that I share this with you, not just as a part of my personal story, but as a way to make a positive difference.”

With a career spanning over five decades, Freddie is celebrate as one of the most legendary voices to ever grace the music industry.
