Nolan Wells’ family is continuing their search for answers following the teen’s tragic and mysterious death, while calling on the Department of Justice to further investigate!
According to PEOPLE, in a news conference held on Monday Nolan’s parents alongside their attorney Ben Crump, called for Federal officials to continue their investigation.
As we previously reported a Grand Jury ruled on September 21st, that Nolan’s death was consistent with drowning. However, both an outside and official autopsy declared that they could not determine the cause or manner of his death.
“What we were left with were many, many inconsistent stories,” said Nolan’s’ mom, Christine Wonsley.
In a written statement shared with PEOPLE, the Department of Justice said,, “ in their view there is no evidence of foul play or any crime.”
The DOJ’s response comes a few short weeks after it was announced that there was no water discovered in Nolan’s stomach or lungs after his lifeless body was discovered washed ashore Horn Island.
