‘Girls Trip 2’ Receives Official Green Light, Talks Of Original Cast Reuniting For New Adventure In Ghana For Afrochella Music Festival!

Cousins! We are kicking the week off with some exciting news as co-writer of the fan favorite film ‘Girls Trip’ reveals a follow up film is on the way!

In conversation with Variety Tracey Oliver dropped the bombshell announcement, “It’s officially happening I can say that.”

She confirms that all original members of the Flossy Posse: Regina Hall, Jada Pinkett-Smith , Queen LaTifah and Tiffany Haddish are onboard. She also hints at the crew taking on a new adventure while attending the Afro Chella music festival in Ghana. “Will Packer might kill me, “might kill me, we’re looking to set it in Ghana.”

According to the outlet the original Girls Trip” film pulled in $140 million worth of box office sales while only having a budget of $16 million. The film was directed by Malcolm D. Lee, produced by Will Packer and co-written by both Tracy and ‘Black-ish’ creator Kenya Barris.

Tracy admitted that the script has not yet been finalized as she jokes that she may need to drink less and write more.
