We Love To See It: Sheryl Lee Ralph Set To Sing “Lift Every Voice And Sing” At Super Bowl Pre-Game!

Cousins! Sheryl Lee Ralph is adding another gem to her long list of accomplishments as she’s set to hit the Pre-Game show stage at this year’s Super Bowl!

The award winning icon announced the major news with excitement earlier today on both Instagram and Twitter confirming she’ll be singing “Lift Every voice and Sing,” before kick off.

“Come on now. Don’t you ever give up on you baby!” she captioned the post. “I’ll be singing Lift Every Voice and Sing at Super Bowl LVII – See you there.”

In a follow up tweet Sheryl expresses how grateful she is for the opportunity as she goes on to thank Rihanna. “What an honor and thank you RiRi!”

As we previously reported the Barbados native is making her official return to the stage as she’s been named this year’s Super Bowl halftime headliner.

Sheryl has been making major strides in her career in the last few months for her work on Abbott Elementary upon securing a Golden Globe nom and Critics Choice win.

Her September Emmy award acceptance speech has not only inspired a generation but also motivated folks around the world to never give up. “To anyone who has ever, ever had a dream and thought your dream wasn’t wouldn’t, couldn’t come true I am here to tell you that this is what believing looks like,” said the 66 year old as she opened up singing a verse from Jazz singer Diane Reeves’ 1993 hit song “Endangered Species.”

She continued, “This is what striving looks like, and don’t you ever, ever give up on you.”

Don’t get it twisted though, Sheryl is no newbie to stardom or fame as she slayed as the original star in Broadway’s ‘Dream Girls’ where she earned a Tony award nomination.

According to People magazine, legendary singer, songwriter and producer BabyFace is set to sing “America The Beautiful” during the pre-game show as well.
