Man Shot In The Head With His Own Gun After Allegedly Provoking A Dispute In A Brooklyn Subway!

Cousins! A tragic series of events onboard a Brooklyn train has left a man hospitalized and another in police custody following an allegedly provoked dispute!

According to Pix 11 news, the incident occurred Thursday afternoon around 4:45 PM as a 32-year-old male boarded the A train at Nostrand Avenue Station. Witnesses state that a 36-year-old male, who had already been on the train aggressively approached the 32-year-old continuously hurling provocative words towards him.

Reports read that the two men exchanged words and then things turned physical in a matter of moments. The 36-year-old is said to have taken out a knife or a switchblade as he continued to walk toward the 32 year old. He is said to have then placed the knife down as he reached for a firearm he had on him.

Witnesses state that the two men began to fight once more and that the 32-year-old took the firearm and shot the aggressor in his head.

Sources state that as the train pulled into Hoyt-Schermerhorn station officers heard the series of gun shots and immediately stopped the train.

As officials flooded the crime scene, they instructed passengers to stay on the train and to duck down towards the ground.

A video shared on Twitter (X) shows the gut-wrenching moment as passengers ducked for cover in shock moments after the shooting.

Thankfully, the firearm was recovered by police on the scene.

The 36-year-old male was rushed to New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. While the 32-year-old is in police custody for questioning. It has been confirmed that he has not been charged at this time.

An active investigation is currently in effect.
