In a time where love, laughter and most importantly Black Joy is needed we are pleased to announce that Tyler Perry’s family centered series House Of Payne and Assisted Living have received an early renewal just weeks before their official season premiers!

According to Deadline, both series have successfully earned the number #1 and 2 spots for top comedy series on cable for African Americans between the ages of 18-59 and 25-54 for the year or 2020.

Season eight of Tyler Perry’s House of Payne is scheduled to return on Tuesday May. 25th at 9PM ET/ PT followed by Tyler Perry’s Assisted Living season two with back to back episodes.

Series original Lance Gross took to social media on Monday afternoon to announce the big news while also revealing that he has also written one of the upcoming episodes.
