Cousins!

We’ve faced some pretty tough and unexpected times within the last year following events and occurrences no one could ever imagine. However we never thought we’d see the day where the U.S would be running low on chicken!

Chicken sandwiches, nuggets, wings, tenders and more are currently in exceedingly high demand at this time and are leading towards an overall supply shortage reports ABC news.

Sources have confirmed that the pandemic resulted in poultry plants to decrease in staff, while hundreds to thousands of residents were in quarantine had higher demands for chicken.

“We didn’t have optimal chicken distribution. Some chicken was in some parts of the world that needed to be in other parts of the world. We just couldn’t move it around,” states Ben Kaplan, the CEO of TOP Agency, a network of marketing agencies.

It has been indicated that fast food chains such as Popeyes, McDonalds, Chick-fil-A and KFC are also currently experiencing store sales spikes from their signature chicken sandwiches. However with their customers increasing their overall demand for poultry they’ve had to tighten their supply in order to keep up.

Though the fast food industry has endured a 23% decrease in customers within the pandemic, fried chicken food sales have only declined by 6%.
