It is with an extremely heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of beloved television host Alex Trebek !

As we previously reported Alex had been battling stage four pancreatic cancer since Spring 2019.

According to TMZ , the Jeopardy game show host passed away Sunday surrounded by his love ones in the comfort of his home.

A Jeopardy spokesperson confirmed the news within a forwarded statement by saying, “Jeopardy is saddened to share that Alex Trebek passed away peacefully at home early this morning, surrounded by family and friends.”

Alex was diagnosed in March of last year and immediately went through chemo but he never retired from Jeopardy. He spent fought bravely for a full year and continued to host the show proudly.
