#Cousins;
A Black educator has taken a stance against injustice as she called out the Success Academy of Brooklyn faculty for their lack of response or statements made following the national news of #GeorgeFloyd ‘s murder at the hands of police officials!
According to Politico the educator Fabiola St Hilaire sent out a lengthy email to the charter school’s CEO Eva Moskowitz asking pinpointing questions as to why the school failed to address the issue at hand.
“I am deeply hurt and shocked by your lack of words on the topic that affects so many of your employees, children and families in communities that you serve,”St Hilaire to Moskowitz. “All of your black employees are paying attention to your silence.’
Reports read that Moskowitz responded to the email shortly, and thanked St Hilaire for bringing the issue forward.
‘I actually opined on this subject early this am. Please take a look,’ Moskowitz wrote within reference to a tweet she posted earlier that day.
She continues by stating, “I hope you can understand that running remote learning in the middle of a world economic shutdown has kept me focused on [Success Academy’s] immediate needs.’
The horrific, senseless deaths of innocent black men and women must stop. Our hearts break for the families of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and too many others who have died for no other reason than the color of their skin. #BlackLivesMatter

However it appears that St Hilarie forwarded the email conversation to social media which ultimately caused the public to take a deeper look into the exhibited racism the charter school is often accused of displaying.
