Legendary African Jazz Player Manu Dibango Passes Away At 86 From Coronavirus!

According to the Chicago Sun Times, Diabango, 86 was officially pronounced dead at the age of 86 on Tuesday March.24th by his publisher. Sources have confirmed that he was hospitalized with an illness closely correlated to COVID-19 and passed the following week within Paris, France.

It has been indicated that an extremely private funeral service will be held in his memory. Due to the severity of the virus and societal lockdown, funerals in France have been limited to no more than 20 people allowed at once. The 20 people must consist of being tightly knit to the deceased person, within effort of keeping the virus from spreading futher.

Diabango, is highly praised for his decades worth of contributions to the genre of rhythm and funk while heavily influencing the world of music.
