Judge Greg Mathis Lands A Brand New Show Just Days After Warner Bros Cancels His Long-standing Court TV Show!

Cousins! Don’t call it a comeback because Judge Greg Mathis surely ain’t going anywhere. Just days after the Warner Bros. network announced that they were moving forward with official cancelation of “Judge Mathis” court television show it has been confirmed that he would be returning to big screen sooner than we thought!

According to reports from Deadline, Judge Greg Mathis is set to debut a brand new show on an all Black network. “ Mathis Court with Judge Mathis,” will officially air on Byron Allen’s media group. “We at Allen Media Group are proud to add Mathis Court with Judge Mathis to our amazing portfolio of court shows. Judge Greg Mathis is an outstanding, charismatic, and iconic television host,”said Byron within a forwarded statement following the big news.

“We are extremely confident that our eighth and newest court series with Judge Mathis will be very successful for years to come as he joins our outstanding roster of talent. Including Judge Kevin Ross, Judge Mablean Ephriam, Judge Christina Perez, Judge Karen Mills-Francis, Judge Glenda Hatchett, Judge Lauren Lake, and Judge Eboni K. Williams.”

Reports read that the upcoming court series will air daily within an one-hour scheduled block. The show will also be available on broadcast television stations, including global network, cable, and digital distribution platforms this Fall.

“For years I’ve proudly watched Byron Allen build a first-class global media empire. After 24 years on the air, I can’t think of a better company to work with to create my next great chapter,” said Mathis. “Byron and I are both from Detroit and it’s exciting to see him build the Motown of court programming by bringing together all of my fellow judges from his 8 court shows, who are the best of the best.”

‘Judge Mathis’ aired on Warner Bros./Telepictures for 24 consecutive seasons. The syndicate show has been recognized as the second longest-running court show in continued production with the same host along with Judge Judy

Judge Greg Mathis previously served as Judge for the 36th District Court in Michigan. He won an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding News, Talk or Information Series in 2004, including a Daytime Emmy award back in 2018 for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program.
