#EddieMurphy is arguably one of the top five comedic geniuses of all time, let’s argue! We are super pleased to announce that word on the street is he’s making an official return to the world of stand up comedy pretty soon!
According to #Variety , Murphy is currently in talks of a multi million dollar deal with the super streaming platform of #Netflix . Sources have indicated that Netflix is allegedly offering Murphy $70 Million dollars for a comedy special.
Not too long ago Murphy confided in #JerrySeinfeld on his Netflix show according to Seinfeld that he’s open to returning to stand up on the right terms. “I’m going to do [standup] again. Everything just has to be right. You have to get up there and start working out.” Murphy also stated that the late Don Rickles had high hopes of him returning to the stage.
It has been indicated that Netflix has paid big names like #DaveChappelle , and #ChrisRock top dollar for their comedy specials. Chapelle was reportedly paid $60 Million for three specials and Rock was paid $40 Million dollars for two.
