Lupus is identified as an autoimmune disease that affects over a million men and women nationwide. The severity of this disease can escalate at any time; resulting in weight/ hair loss, kidney complications/ failure and many more crucial health effects. Though the world is becoming more aware of Lupus as a disease, unfortunately there is still no cure at this time.
Hollywood A-list actor and heartthrob #MichaelBJordan, is set to host his 3rd annual Lupus awareness and fundraising event MBJam on July.27th in #Hollywood at #DaveAndBusters. According to the #HollywoodReporter ; Jordan’s MBJam19 fundraiser is partnering up with big names such as Lupus LA, Coach, Dave & Busters, and American Airlines.
MBJam was originally established in 2017 and has been depicted as a night of games, activities, food and prizes. Sources have indicated that all proceeds are forwarded towards the benefit of the non profit organization of Lupus LA. Each dollar raised helps assist with scientific research for a cure of the disease.
Jordan identified as brand ambassador of the organization will serve as host of the event. His mother Donna Jordan has also been stated to suffer from the disease.
“Together, we can raise money and awareness to fight lupus while bringing an afternoon of fun to those who suffer from it.”
