Mississippi Candidate For State House Shoots Wife & Himself After Being Served Divorce Papers!

A #Mississippi candidate set to run for state house has been identified for killing his wife and himself within less than 2 hours of being served divorce papers.

#NBCNews reports; Carl Robinson, 43 entered Williams Medical Clinic Tuesday morning where his wife Latoya Thompson, 33 worked as a receptionist at the front desk and shot her. Sources have indicated that after the shooting Thompson then jumped over the front desk at the clinic and shot himself. Reports read that his lifeless body laid beside his wife.

Though officials responded to a call of a suspect shoooting one or more people at the clinic around 10AM, it was too late. Thompson had succumbed to her injuries and died before officials could transport her to the hospital.

“We found the shooter dead from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head,” Dickerson said, adding that it is believed to be a “domestic-related” incident,” states Marshall County Sheriff Kenny Dickerson.

It has been indicated that Thompson was set to run for the District 5 Seat in the Mississippi House of Representatives. He was listed on the August 6 ballot for the Democratic Party election.
