Cousins! Comedian and actress Amanda Seales reveals that a legendary rapper that she was once a fan of called her phone and screamed on her!
In an Instagram live amongst fans, Amanda says that she had recently connected with an unnamed rapper and that she was caught off guard as he verbally attacked her.
“You always trying to fight somebody. Everything rubs you the wrong way,” Amanda recalled the unnamed artist yelling at her.
“ I had a n****a raise his mother f*****g voice at me on this phone today. A rapper whose album I own, raised his voice on me on the phone today because I said I didn’t like something someone else did. WHAT?”
The 42 year old added, “-And he felt compelled to do that. Like he really felt like that was fine.”
Though Amanda never revealed who the rapper was that confronted her or provided exact details of the issue at hand, she expressed that men yelling at women is a form of violence that shouldn’t be accepted.
“ Y’all really be out here yelling at us. And one thing I’m not doing in 2024 ain’t no n****a motherf*****g yelling at me again.”
“I think it’s so wild that someone who reached out to me based on my merit and intellectualism— I’m about to cry I’m so bothered by this. I think it is so wild that, that person would disrespect me in such a serious way,” said Amanda.
“And I think it’s also trippy how quickly so many men will discard a woman, like you not trying to protect our relationship. You just tried to reach out to me to start a relationship and you’re not even trying to protect it.”
Social media users also chimed in on Amanda’s Instagram live as some stood union reflecting on how men yelling at women is a form of abuse while others declared her as often being problematic.
“There is never a time when Amanda Seales is not triggered,”’wrote a TikTok user.
“Can she vent?! She’s ranting yes yet sometimes we all need a safe space.”
“Amanda I got your back but you have to say a name.”
“Her entire energy is off. I can tell EXACTLY why he did it too.”
“Maybe not the voice raising point but I hear more problems w/ Amanda rather than actual projects she works on.”
