Tamera Mowry is facing a wave of intense mixed reactions online following her debut on Threads, as her presence quickly became a trending topic among users
What started off as a friendly introduction, quickly shifted gears as social media users vocalized their stance in response to long-circulating claims regarding her husband, Adam Housley.
While Tamera herself has kept her political views private, Adam has been vocal in sharing controversial opinions online in regard to race, the Trump administration, and the tragic murder of Trayvon Martin.
When a Threads user asked why Tamera was undergoing the online hate train, another user chimed in to break down a history of claims made against both her and Adam.
“Her husband has an established pattern of publicly expressing anti-Black (MAGA-esque) sentiments using coded language. This dates back to Trayvon Martin’s murder. Tamera was initially very quiet about his comments but over the years has tacitly affirmed her alignment with him. People are essentially saying the quiet thing out loud and letting her know, “we see you.”
Yesterday she tried to join Threads and the community united to say it to her face at the same time. Hilariously.
The comments apparently intensified with the ‘Sister Sister’ star being referred to as ‘TAMAGA’ in which Tamera briefly deleted her threads account report Black Enterprise. However she returned shortly.
Despite being bombard with thousands of negative reactions, Tamera appeared to share a message centered on peace, boundaries, and protecting her energy. Without directly addressing the claims or the backlash, Tamera intentionally responded to comments that applauded her for manning her composure.
“Keep doing you and moving forward in Christ! Don’t let these demons dysregulate you 💗,” wrote a threads’ user as Tamera responded, “Oh never! 😊”
