Cousins! It appears that the only degree Lil Nas X will be receiving these days is in the science of trolling!
According to Entertainment Weekly, the Christian college of Liberty University has come forward in response to a viral post on Instagram of Lil Nas X claiming to have enrolled. However, a spokesman for Liberty confirms that they have no record of Lil Nas born Montero Hill, on file.
“We can confirm that Liberty University did not issue the Montero Hill acceptance letter posted yesterday to social media, and we have no record of Montero Hill applying to the university,” reads a forwarded statement.
The University goes on to state, “—— “exists to glorify God by equipping men and and women in higher education in fidelity to the Christian faith expressed through the Holy Scriptures.”
Following Lil Nas X roll-out for his new project titled ‘J CHRIST’ the 24 year old announced that he is scheduled to attend the religious school in fall of 2024 majoring in Christian Leadership and Biblical studies.
According to the New York Post, the fake letter was signed by former Liberty University head and founder Jerry Falwell, that died over 15 years ago.
“I know some of yall hate me right now but I want yall to know I’m literally about to go to college for biblical studies in the fall,” wrote Lil Nas X alongside the fake acceptance letter. “Not everything is a troll! Anyways IM A STUDENT AGAIN! LETS GOOO!!!”
Apparently the false admission’s letter served as a promotional effort for his upcoming Christian project in which he’s received mixed reviews online.
