Cousins! A GoFundMe account established for a New York City physician’s assistant that was recently granted the name of ‘Citi Bike Karen’ , has raised over $110,000 in efforts of assisting her with legal fees!

Sarah Comrie of Bellvue Hospital was seen earlier this month within a viral video that has racked up over a a million views, arguing with a Black male over a Citi bike. The woman who is also pregnant, can be heard screaming for help and crying on call as she claims that she was wrongfully touched and felt endangered for her unborn child.

A GoFundMe campaign titled “Help Sarah Comrie fight being branded a ‘Karen,” was launched by Sarah’s uncle Bob Roe who insists that his niece has been unfairly identified as a racist.

“My name is Bob Roe. Late last week, my niece, Sarah Comrie, a Physician Assistant at Bellevue, became embroiled in a much-publicized incident with a Citibike that unfairly painted her as a racist “Karen.” The facts have since proven this is a lie, but the damage has been done. In fact, Sarah is a dedicated healthcare worker who is six months pregnant. She holds racial justice and equity dear, and has dedicated her life to serving NYC’s most challenged individuals.”

“She does not wish to become a cause celebre, but the legal bills to save her livelihood and her reputation obviously are mounting. “

Bob recently issued an update on Monday May 21st to her supporters.

“UPDATE: Sarah and her entire family are deeply moved by this extraordinary show of support. She wishes she could thank each contributor individually. (I’ve never done something like this, so I apologize if I’m not communicating adequately.) It looks like MSM is finally starting to present the full story, but there are still so many vile things on Twitter, TikTok and YouTube, and she and her husband have been doxxed and threatened, and people have come to their building. Getting her lawyer on TV has been a big help in getting the truth out, but her entire life remains in limbo. Thank you.”

The campaign has a proposed goal of $120,000 and has pulled in $119,378 at this time with over 3,100 donations. Bob proclaims that the money will be used to assist Sarah with legal fees as well as her livelihood and reputation. It has been indicated that Sharon has been placed on leave from the hospital following the incident.

Within the video clip Citi Bike Karen’s claims the male touched her however he is not seen coming into any physical contact with her. Karen on the other hand can be seen snatching his phone and refusing to give it back him.

According to reports from The Insider Sarah’s attorney Justin Marino argues that she did pay for bike in question and that his client is being unfairly targeted.

“She had reserved it, and then they pushed the bike back into the docking station, preventing her from taking it out again,” Marino tells the outlet.
