Cousins! Congratulations are in order for legendary actor Jason Weaver as he is set to appear in the upcoming season of Tyler Perry ‘s hit original series Sistas!
News of Jason’s join the BET network based series began to trend throughout social media via Twitter on Monday May 22nd. Shortly after Jason confirmed that the rumors were true as he took to his verified Instagram page to issue a lengthy thank you to the show’s castmates, his adoring fans and Tyler.

Details of Jason’s upcoming role have not yet been forwarded by the network as of yet. However a circulated clipping on social media shares that he is taking on the recurring role of Brian, a 30 something year old handsome contractor set to conduct repairs on Karen’s beauty shop.
The former child star is a television veteran as he’s portrayed the role of Jerome Turrell in the sitcom Thea. Jason also starred as Marcus Henderson in Disney 90s sitcom Smart Guy . Including playing a young Michael Jackson in the biopic, The Jacksons: An American Dream. Not to mention he provided signature vocals for young Simba in Disney’s 1994 animated movie, The Lion King.
Jason can also be seen on Lena Waithe’s hit original television series ‘The Chi’ on Showtime as he portrays the role of Rashad.
