According to reports from TMZ, Stephen’s wife Allison Holker ran into a Los Angeles Police station on Tuesday stating that her husband had left home without his car which was highly unlikely of him. Sadly it wasn’t long before officers had been notified of an apparent shooting at a LA hotel.
The outlet confirms that around 11:15 AM paramedics were alerted about a medical emergency at a Los Angels hotel. Stepehen was discovered with a single self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head and was pronounced dead at the scene. His passing has been ruled death by suicide.
In the hours leading up to his tragic passing, Stephen is said to had checked into a hotel less than a mile away from his home. Hotel employees state that he had only checked in for a single night and had one small bag with him. They state that he did not appear to be upset.
Sadly Stephen’s deceased body was discovered by a staff member after he missed check out time. He was found within the bathroom area of his hotel room. Staffers state that no one had heard a gun go off at any point. It has been suggested that the lack of sound could be due to the construction of the hotel building.
News of Stephen’s death had been confirmed by Allison within a shared statement. “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us.”
“Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”
