Lizzo took to social media on Sunday night within an emotional speech following negative comments made in regards to her new music video Rumors featuring Cardi B!

Lizzo speaks on the amount backlash she’s received following the release of the new single in terms of racism and fat shaming while being accused of creating content solely for her White fans.

The “ feeling myself” singer says that she feels she receives more hate than love no matter how much positivity she puts out within her music and social media posts.

Cardi B is amongst numerous celebrities to take up for Lizzo following the negative comments.

“When you stand up for yourself they claim your problematic & sensitive,” reads a tweet from Cardi.

”When you don’t they tear you apart until you crying like this. Whether you skinny,big,plastic, they going to always try to put their insecurities on you. Remember these are nerds looking at the popular table.”

Lizzo also reflects on the power there is within loving yourself despite what others think of you and encourages fans to not beat themselves up about negativity they receive or how they decide to handle it.
