Florida Enforces Highway Checkpoints To Stop New York Residents Fleeing From Coronavirus!

#Cousins, as you may already know the state of #NewYork has unfortunately been identified as having the most positively tested #Coronavirus victims in the U.S. In efforts of stoping NY residents who could potentially be infected and attempting to flee; the state of Florida has set specific restrictions into play!

According to the New York Post, Florida has began to enforce highway checkpoints to help screen NY residents attempting escape the Coronavirus widespread.

Sources have confirmed that the checkpoint will be placed on interstate 95. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis released an official statement on Saturday, “I think it’s in everybody’s interest that we deal with the spread that we have here now, try to blunt it, flatten the curve, but we don’t allow importing new infections.”

Reports read that Florida has taken similar precautions against Louisiana which currently has a total of over 3,000 cases. That specific checkpoint has been established alongside interstate 10.

DeSantis concludes, “I think having the (Interstate) 10 and (Interstate) 95 is good, that provides the protection,”
