It’s been almost two months since the tragic death of the legendary #LosAngeles native #NipseyHussle . The man held responsible #EricHolder ; is currently without legal counsel after his defense attorney #ChrisDarden has decided to bow out due to intense death threats forwarded to his family.
According to #TMZ ; #Darden has recently filed motion to withdraw as Holder’s defense attorney. Sources have indicated that both Harden and Holder are scheduled to appear this Friday within #LA superior court. Darden states this is the last time he will appear in court with Holder pertaining to this case.
Darden is well known for his work on the infamous 90’s prosecution case of double murder against #OJsimpson. Darden states that this ordeal reminds him of previous threats he received within 1995; “Just as they were in 1995-Cowards never change. These days these cowards don’t send letters instead they sit anonymously behind keyboards threatening a man’s mother and children.”
Darden goes on to state that he hopes everyone keeps this same energy within other societal issues that effect the black community. “After centuries of a history of black men hung from trees without trial, or after the thousands of cases of black men tried, convicted and executed without counsel … I cannot understand why in 2019 some people would deny a black man his 6th Amendment right to counsel of his choice.”
He also has a special messages for anyone forwarding threats towards his family; categorizing them as haters and states, “To those who issued those threats to my children please pay close attention so there is no misunderstanding. Later. F**K YOU!”
