Cousins! A judge has moved forward in granting Doja Cat’s mother Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer a permanent restraining order against her son!
As we previously reported, Deborah filed for a temporary restraining order against Raman Dalithando Dlamini out of fear for her own life as well as Doja’s.
According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, Deborah’s abuse claims were further heard in a court hearing held this week as she pursued an order of protection against Raman. Despite being served with notice of the scheduled hearing, Raman failed to appear.
In the issued filing Deborah detailed that her concerns surrounding her son’s alleged behavior has become extremely alarming causing her stead and anxiety. She also forwarded claims that Raman had been abusive to Doja and that in a previous incident he knocked the singer’s teeth out.
Reports read that Deborah requested that Raman stayed 100 feet from her, Doja and her 13 year old grandson. However a judge ruled the singer would have to file for herself.
“He has made so many comments that are so deeply hurtful and offensive that I feel I have had to block them from memory just to go on day after day,” wrote Deborah.
“He uses these bullying tactics to manipulate me into giving him more money, more money then what is rational and reasonable. It puts additional stress on me to work so hard, and then he abuses me and it’s hard for me to recover to complete my work tasks.”
She added, “The possibility of having a peaceful household to raise my grandson is completely compromised with this erratic behavior. There are many times [his son] does not want him to come over to the house.”
Following Deborah’s testimony, a judge ordered a 5-year restraining against Raman, which is scheduled to expire on January 29th 2025.
