Cousins! It appears that Tristan Thompson has landed himself in trouble as he has officially been suspended for violating the National Basketball Association’s ( NBA) anti-drug program!
According to CBS Sports News, the Cleveland Cavilaiers’ forward player has tested positive for Ibutamoren and SARM-LGD 4033. A statement released by the NBA on Tuesday morning confirms that Tristan will be suspended for a total of 25 games without pay.
According to Spotrac Tristan will lose out on $726,465 in pay.
Reports read that the banned substances of Ibutamoren and SARM-LGD 4033 artificially enhance HGH levels and have the ability to raise a person’s strength.
Within his 13 year basketball career, the 32 year old has played for the Celtics, Pacers, Bulls and Lakers. He mad history in 2016 alongside LeBron James and Kyrie Irving after they brought home the Cavaliers first and only championship win back in 2016.
According to Yahoo News, the 13 year veteran is believed to have been tested Monday night following the Cavaliers’ 126-99 l win against the Orlando Magic. He is said to had racked up four points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 21 minutes of playing time.
Sources state that Tristan’s suspension is expected to start immediately and that he will be eligible for his return on March 16th.
