Cousins, NBA all-star LeBron James, and his family are speaking out following a medical scare his eldest son LeBron ‘Bronny’ James endured last month!
A spokesperson for the James family says that Bronny has been under medical evaluation since he was released from the hospital in July for cardiac arrest. It has been stated that the 18-year-old has a congenital defect.
“After a comprehensive initial evaluation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center led by Dr. Merije Chukumerije and follow-up evaluations at the Mayo Clinic led by Dr. Michael J. Ackerman and Atlantic Health/Morristown Medical Center led by Dr. Matthew W. Martinez, the probable cause of Mr. James sudden cardiac arrest SCA has been identified,” says a spokesperson for the James family Stephanie Rosa, in a forwarded statement.
“It is an anatomically and functionally significant Congenital Heart Defect which can and will be treated,” she continued.
“We are very confident in Bronny’s full recovery and return to basketball in the very near future. We will continue to provide updates to media and respectfully reiterate the family’s request for privacy.”
As we previously reported Bronny had been hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He is said to have collapsed on July 24th at a basketball game in Southern California’s Galen Center.
The college basketball player, was released three days later after being examined at the Mayo Clinic and Atlantic Health-Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey, reports Blavity.
