Cousins! The World Championship fight between Gervonta Davis and Hector Luis Garcia over the weekend brought the stars out from far and wide including fellow professional athletes and music artists. Though the match may have been the intended main event, an exchange of words ringside was set to give them a run for their money!

According to the Daily Star, Philadelphia native Meek Mill had been the center of commotion within the eighth round of the highly anticipated match. It’s unclear what took place exactly but it appears that Meek and his friends alongside former NBA all star Stephen Jackson had got into it with pro boxers Gary Russell Jr. , Gary Antuanne and their friends.

The incident is said to have gotten out of hand to the point referee Albert Earl Brown had to call a time-out in the middle of the eighth round due to the aggressive pushing and shoving in the crowd.

Ultimately Meek and his entourage were escorted out of Capital One Arena in Washington DC.

He later took to social media to speak on the incident. “I would never let no petty shit escalate to let somebody movie run …. I just walked away .. I came to support tank and boots!!!!!! Good wins ✨✨✨✨✨”

Meek continued, “I was nice to everybody at that fight if you was there you saw! The blogs gone put up the aggressive part after I respond to something aggressive … everybody in that section seen my level of respect towards others… i just gotta step my response game up!”

“ I have no business going back and forth that hard with a random person and we just talking about sports…so my apologies for wasting time for nothing! I had a few shots I know how to dodge those! Congrats Tank and boots!!!

The minor altercation didn’t stop Davis from doing his thing though as his winning streak continued following the 9th round.
