Man Accused Of Fatally Beating 27 Year Old Mom To Death In Front Of Her 7 Year Old Daughther Turns Himself In!

Noir Nation, there’s an update in the heartbreaking case of 27-year-old Lovay Williams.

Tiliek Shamel Thompson, 41, has turned himself in to the NYPD for questioning in connection with Williams’ death, according to his attorney. Police are currently identifying Thompson as a person of interest as the investigation continues.

Williams was found dead inside her Washington Heights apartment on September 6 after police responded to a wellness check. Her 7-year-old daughter was reportedly inside the home when her mother was discovered.

Thompson’s attorney is urging the public to reserve judgment as authorities continue investigating the circumstances surrounding Williams’ death. Meanwhile, Williams’ loved ones continue to demand answers and justice for the young mother.

“A young woman is dead, which is the most important thing to the members of the public,” Thompson’s attorney Neville Dexter said. “But equally important, if not more important, to my client is that my client is treated fairly and has his day in court, however that plays out.”

“I’m sure the system will work out fairly and that’s what I’m here to do,” Dexter said. “It doesn’t sound to me like it was a murder so far, but that’s what I think about the case based on the little bit that I know.”

According to The Daily News, Tilek is current;y facing charges for murder, assault, strangulation, criminal obstruction of breathing, child abandonment and acting in manner injurious to a child.
