A young 7 year old boy’s lifeless body was sadly discovered within the washing machine of his family’s home in Texas, just hours after he was reported missing!

According to ABC News, a missing person’s report was issued for Troy Khoeler on Thursday morning around 5:20AM by his foster parents. It has been stated that he was adopted in 2019, however details haven’t been confirmed as of yet.

Homicide unit officers arrived to the parents’ home around 7am in response to the call to dispatch. Reports read that the officers conducted a thorough search of the parents home and discovered young Troy’s fully clothed body within the top load of a washing machine located in the garage area.

As of right now no arrests have been made as authorities are investigating whether this was a tragic accident or if he was placed in the machine by either parent. LT. Robert Minchew stated that things they observed upon their arrival led for them to search the house and that it was standard police procedure.

“ “It was early in the morning, there was no indication that the door had been opened, or a window opened. After searching the neighborhood, they were unable to find the child. So the next logical step, I believe, is to search the house.”

Officials state that the parents were detained and taken to the sheriff’s office for further interviewing. It has been stated that there were no other children that live with the family.

“It’s obviously a traumatic situation for the family and anybody involved. It’s just more conducive to get them away from the house,” Minchew stated in regards to Troy’s parents.

According to People Magazine, authorities are currently waiting on the medical examiner’s office to determine a cause of death. Minchew could not confirm if it was closed or open.
