If you thought the current price of gas was a little pricey you might want to start dusting off your kicks sooner than later to get your walk on, because word on the streets is the price is about to go up AGAIN!

The average price nationwide for a gallon of regular gas is expected to jump to $6 by no later than the month of August; according to recent research conducted by JP Morgan.

Earlier this week folks witnessed the national average cost of gasoline bump up to $4.56 per gallon. Which is confirmed to be a .50 cent increase from last month and $1.52 projected increase from this same time last year, reports Fox Business.

Sources confirm that drivers can expect to pay between $6 to $6.20 per gallon in the next three months. Certain area in Los Angeles and San Francisco have already began to experience the price increase.

Reports read that the expected increase will come from the strong demand in driving due to the warm Summer weather.

“Typically, refiners produce more gasoline ahead of the summer road-trip season, building up inventories,” the analysts said. However, since mid-April, “gasoline inventories have fallen counter seasonally and today sit at the lowest seasonal levels since 2019,” says head of JPMorgan’s global commodities strategy team Natasha Kaneva.
