In celebration of legendary rapper Notorious B.IG 50th birthday, New York City is honoring his legacy with a limited edition Metrocard !
According to ABC News, MTA and Rhino Entertainment have paired up to release the Metrocard through vending machines at a series of Brooklyn located subway stations.
Sources confirm that cards will be dispensed at vending machines accepting cash, debit and credit located at station in central Brooklyn. Includes: Lafayette Avenue C, Clinton-Washington Avenue A, Clinton Avenue Washington G, Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center 2,3,4,5,B,D,N,R,Q.
Mayor Eric Adams confirms that May 21st is, “ Christopher The ‘Notorious B.I.G’ Wallace Day”. Big’s son CJ Wallace accepted the honor earlier this week in his behalf.
Biggie Smalls born Christopher Wallace was born and raised in the heart of Brooklyn, New York within the Bedford-Stuyvesant area. Within his career he was able to release multi platinum album ‘Ready to Die’ and his posthumous Diamond certified album, “Life After Death”
